Building a

digital-first bank

The client is a specialist bank offering products to entrepreneurs and High-Net-Worth Individuals with complex needs.

2021
Designer

While the customers valued the relationship with the staff they engaged with, the digital products were outdated, inconsistent and customers preferred to speak to a person over the complexity of the digital tools.

Our mission was to redesign the client’s digital products, mobile and desktop, in order to create an intuitive and seamless banking experience.

My role.

Working as a product designer in a small team, I collaborated with this client in two different phases.

My role was to create a new digital identity and to design the UI, while serving as a creative challenger to my teammates (and visa versa).

We helped the client to identify a selection of screens ensuring that the designs we presented worked as a connected flow.

Despite not having full access to product strategy, fully fleshed product requirements and user stories, we shaped a streamlined end-to-end design process.

The impact

  • Following the first phase the bank succeeded to secure a further investment.

  • A growing business for the agency: from one mini project, to a continuous collaboration across several projects and teams.

  • Customers of the bank will have a consistent good experience across multiple touchpoints.

  • For the bank: A single source of truth that helps in scaling faster and reducing time to market.
